Alloy MP159® is a Nickel-Cobalt basedmultiphase alloy with excellent strength and ductility in temperatures up to1100-1200¡ã F. MP159® alloy is produced by vacuum induction meltingfollowed by VAC-ARC remelting to provide optimum control of chemistry and preferredingot solidification.
It exhibits many of the same characteristics as MP35N®.
This combination of properties enablesultra-high strength, toughness, good ductility and excellent corrosionresistance. Through work strengthening and aging MP159® alloy exhibits highultimate tensile strength of 275 ksi and yield strength of 265 ksi (Cold Workedand Age Hardened) combined with excellent ductility and toughness.
Alloy MP159® displays similar corrosionresistance to MP35N®, which is usable in mineral acids, hydrogen sulfide,seawater, and salt spray environments. It also exhibits excellent fatigueresistance and creep strength at elevated temperatures and superb resistance tocrevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and hydrogen embrittlement.
MP159® is used in many different industriesfrom prosthetic devices, jet engine components, fasteners, marine applicationsto petroleum industry applications.

MP35N® is a multi-phase alloy containingNickel, Cobalt, Chromium, and Molybdenum with a unique range of properties ¨Cultra-high-strength, toughness, biocompatibility, and corrosion resistance. Itis produced by vacuum induction melting and vacuum arc re-melting (VIM-VAR) andis then strengthened by work hardening and aging, giving hardnesss of up to55-60 Rockwell C and strength levels as high as 260-300KSI.
MP35N® also has good ductility and toughness.
Due, to this unique combination ofproperties, MP35N® has many applications in such industries as oil and gas,aerospace, and medical. MP35N® can be effectively used at cryogenictemperatures without embrittlement and maintain its properties at temperaturesup to 600¡ãF. MP35N® is also suitable for medical implants andorthodontic/prosthetic devices.
MP35N® is able to resist corrosion to mostmineral acid, hydrogen sulfide, and seawater environments while exhibitingexcellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and hydrogen embrittlement,even at high strength levels.
